Inner hull planking complete up to, and including, the lower gun deck. Outer hull planking 95% complete up to the upper gun deck. Top surfaces of all decks and planking in holds is finished with tung oil for natural wood finish and appearance. Hull planking on Orlop and Gun decks painted white (old white) as are the lower surfaces of the decks from the lower gun deck and higher. The outer hull of the kit is not coppered, but is painted in copper. The Trafalgar paint scheme will be applied to the cross section.
A close up view of the companion ways leading from the lower gun deck down to the orlop deck. Once all decks are in place then the faces of the cross section will be trimmed/sanded smooth to ensure all planking ends flush with the "frames" for a neat, clean appearance. The faces will be stained to a darker color so as to be less prevalent when viewing the model.
